Everybody Please Start Using Times New Roman Font

You should notice something different about this post compared to my previous posts.  I have switched fonts and now am using Times New Roman instead of Calibri.  I urge everybody to make the same switch, if you haven’t already done so.

Why the change?  From The Washington Free Beacon:  “Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday instructed employees to ditch Times New Roman in official communications, saying the popular font undermines the department’s commitment to ‘disability inclusion.”  Times New Roman apparently causes “recognition issues for individuals with learning disabilities”.  So, instead of challenging people to become more capable and improve themselves, let’s just dumb down the whole department.

With all the problems in the world that the State Department should be addressing, Blinken wastes his time on this.  The Biden administration wears a new clown suit every day.

I seriously doubt anybody who would read anything the State Department wrote is more visually impaired than I am.  I rarely mention this because I’m not a victim, whiner, or a person who wants any special privileges, but I am totally blind in my left eye, my vision in my right eye is something like -14, and I have macular degeneration in that eye.  I get by because everybody faces trials and difficulties.  It’s called “life.”  The great challenge of this existence is to overcome the obstacles placed before us, not demand that others make sacrifices to accommodate our weaknesses or inabilities.  Climbing mountains and conquering difficulties builds character; there is no other way to do it.  And because of liberal welfare, “equity,” “diversity,” and “inclusion” programs, fewer and fewer people are developing the strength of character necessary to improve themselves and face the challenges life puts before them.  My vision is poor, but I don’t expect, demand, or even want anybody to roll out a red carpet in front of me everywhere I go so that I won’t have any trouble getting around.  That won’t help me be a better or stronger person.

But, there are “visually-impaired” people out there.  And a lot of them vote.  Blinken wants them to know he is on their side.   And that they vote correctly.

I want them to man up, be thankful for all the blessings they have, and get on with their lives without whining or learning to anticipate some government privilege that other people don’t have.  I don’t want Blinken’s stupid “inclusion” philosophy, I’ll take care of myself by myself without his help, thank you.  I’m a man with a certain amount of pride, not an effeminate weakling who grovels pitifully, with no sense of self-worth or self-respect, wanting others to sacrifice to carry me through life.  I couldn’t live with myself if I were that way.  That is conservatism versus liberalism.  The more you subsidize and encourage weakness, the more of it you are going to get.  The Left wants that because the Left wants people dependent upon them.  The self-reliant don’t need, or want, liberals.  Self-reliance is the polar opposite of Leftist philosophy.  And that is why they despise the family and religion so much.  Depend on liberals, on the government, not God or family.

Everybody does need a helping hand once in a while.  Giving a person an occasional fish is fine.  Making him learn how to fish is better.  For too many people, if you give them a fish, they want another, will start expecting it, and then thinking it is their right to have it—they are “entitled” to it.    And thus, they will never learn how to fish and take care of themselves, which is the essence of a successful life.  By giving a person a fish, you help him for a day, but may be destroying him for life.  And you teach him to be a thief and a parasite, who robs others to feed his degraded, useless existence which he has never been required to upgrade.

So, if you can’t read the Times New Roman font, either don’t visit my blog, or LEARN HOW TO!  I’m trying to help you improve your abilities, giving you something that may aid you for the rest of your life (because Times New Roman is one of the most popular fonts in existence, found everywhere), rather than, like Blinken, supporting and intensifying your limitations.  I’ll make you a better person; just think how much smarter you will be.
