Ok, I'm a Texan, and I have been been a Houston Astros fan literally from the inception of the team as the Colt .45s in 1962 (yeah, I'm that old, but I was a kid back then). So, even though I have become thoroughly disgusted with the "woke" MLB, and almost gave the sport up completely (I HAVE totally given up the NFL and NBA, even the Dallas Cowboys), the Astros have always been MY team and are a little too deep in my blood, especially when they are in the World Series. So, the Astros won! YEA! Woo-hoo!
I'm glad for one more reason. After 60 years, they finally have a LEGITIMATE World Series title. They did win it in 2017, but that title is tainted because of the cheating scandal. At the moment, this one is legit. I hope it stays that way.
Congrats to the Phillies for a great year to get to the World Series. The Dodgers seemed to have had the best team in the regular season, but you've got to win in the playoffs, and LA is screwing that up. The Astros didn't. So maybe the best team won after all. Houston DID win 106 games in the regular season and 11 of 13 games in the playoff. That ain't hay, folks. They deserved this. Congrats to my favorite team.
