This is what single-payer, socialized medicine looks like. This is what Bernie Sanders and the whole Democratic Party wants for you and your family.
Last summer, a provincial judge in Alberta, Canada, denied a woman a possible life-saving organ transplant because she had not been vaccinated against the Wuhan coronavirus. The government pays for it, so the government gets to decide what treatment you get.
The woman had argued, “Taking this vaccine offends my conscience. I ought to have the choice about what goes into my body and a life-saving treatment cannot be denied to me because I chose not to take an experimental treatment for a condition—COVID-19—which I do not have and which I may never have.”
But, lady, you are a peasant, a Canadian deplorable. The judge actually agreed that the woman was the sole arbiter of what she put into her body, but, he argued, no one has an inherent right to an organ transplant.
And, in truth, I agree with the judge on that last point. There is no “natural right” to an organ transplant, though, I suppose, we could have fun splitting some hair on that since the “right to life” is considered a natural right, except when it comes to unborn babies. The problem is, it should be none of that judge’s business in the first place whether the woman gets an organ transplant or not. That should be totally a decision made by her, her doctors, and whoever is paying for it.
Oops. And there’s the rub. When the government pays for it, the government gets to decide if you get it or not. It’s the “single-payer” system. Bureaucrats determine who lives and who dies, and boy, they love that, the ultimate in power and control over other human beings. Welcome to Stalin’s USSR and Xi Jinping’s China.

The political element is also evident in this Canadian judge’s decision. I don’t know his politics, but I do know Joe Biden’s, and if he, and the Democratic Party, will try to intimidate people into proper speech—as they have been doing the past few years—can you imagine what intimidations they can perform if given control over life and death? How many Americans have been harassed and jailed for questioning the “science” of Covid vaccines, or the integrity of the 2020 Presidential election? Yeah, let’s give these thugs total control of our health care system. “You need life-saving treatment? Let’s see….who did you vote for in the last election? Oh, sorry, we don’t have the money to pay for your treatment...” Do we honestly think that can’t happen in the United States? You trust Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, AOC?
Canada, under Justin Trudeau, has gone full-blown totalitarian. A few month ago, a Canadian father was denied the right to see his child because he wasn’t vaxxed. You obey the government’s arbitrary rules, or you suffer the consequences. If the government gives you the rights you have, and pays for them, then the government can deprive you of those rights. If they give, they can take away. That’s what we fought a revolution against in 1776. The Democratic Party wants another revolution to overthrow the one we had in 1776. And if we give them control of our health care system, they will be one step closer to having the revolution they crave and the power they lust for.
To see the truth of that, all we have to do is look north of the border for verification.
